Julia is excited to act as a Climate Justice Coordinator for the RMNAACP. Here, she focuses on state to federal climate spending related to environmental justice issues as well as equitable building decarbonization. She obtained her Bachelor’s of Science in Ecosystem Science and Sustainability with a minor in Economics in 2021. Julia has had the privilege of working within various governmental and nonprofit sectors on a plethora of environmental issues from soil, to transportation, to agriculture, to now equity. After having seen equity be left out of the picture of the environmental field for far too long, she aims to help create a more just, green transition. With the new IRA spending, she believes that this is a grand opportunity to prioritize those who have been historically disadvantaged due to systemic and racist policies that have had legacy consequences.
